Joint Superintendent Ministers
Rev Andrew Parker
I was born in Pudsey, West Yorkshire and grew up attending a Methodist Church with the rest of my family. My younger days were full of playing football and cricket (Pudsey being famous for not only a certain BBC Teddy bear but also Sir Len Hutton and Herbert Sutcliffe). After leaving school I did an engineering apprenticeship and later worked in a computer department for a Building society. In my early 30’s I completely changed career and went to Cliff College and then candidated for the Methodist ministry. My training was at Wesley College, Bristol and my first appointment was in Grimsby. I then went to Sheffield East Circuit and then to Buxton in 2012. I love being out and about in the wonderful Peak District and also spending time with family, days out with my son usually involves a train or tram and hopefully he will soon be enthusiastic on cricket, football and follow his dad with support of Leeds United (poor kid!)
