Flagg Methodist Church
We are a very rural community. Since 2008 we have been able to enjoy a totally modernised building. Faced with an old church needing a large amount of money for repairs, we looked like having no other option but closure. Our members prayed for guidance and were rewarded. The Nursery School next door was short of room and was willing to help financially to modernise the building and make it dual purpose. A focus group was formed and the work undertaken giving us a warm, bright, modern building. Services are held at Flagg and Monyash in turn. For more details [Click Here].
We help our friends at Monyash Chapel to serve and provide refreshments when there are village events. We are a happy congregation, always ready to give help where needed. We hold a toy service each year to provide Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children – this is well supported. It is lovely to see how happy the children are and the wonderful use they make of our building.
We have friends from Chelmorton and Taddington villages who have lost their chapels and are now members of our church. Our Church is the only place of worship in the village.
If you come to our Chapel for an event or to worship you will be most welcome.
We are under the pastoral care of the Rev Andrew Parker.
All of our Churches in the Partnership take safeguarding issues extremely seriously.
In each of our churches on the noticeboard contact details of the appointed church safeguarding officer are given.
Our Partnership Safeguarding Officer is Rev Andrew Parker whose contact details can be found on this website Menu under People.
